Who We Are
4th Second is a Vallejo-based nonprofit organization dedicated to driving systemic change through direct service, community collaboration, and sustainable local programs. Grounded in the principle that human existence represents only a fraction of Earth’s history a metaphor drawn from scaling 4.5 billion years into a single day, the organization empowers community members to actively shape their “4th Second”. By addressing root causes of systemic inequality, 4th Second bridges critical resource gaps for vulnerable populations, including unhoused individuals, justice-impacted community members, and foster youth.
